If you are reading this, the migration worked. After nine years and 300-plus episodes living on a WordPress server that required more plugin updates than we have done bike builds, Full Spectrum Cycling has a new home.
Here is what this means for you, the listener, which is the only part that actually matters.
You can now get the show by email. Every new episode drops straight into your inbox if you subscribe to the newsletter. No more remembering to check your podcatcher. No more wondering if we actually published this week. (We usually do. Sometimes we do not. That is the charm.)
The archive is all here. All 300-plus episodes are now hosted on Beehiiv, which means faster load times, a cleaner player, and one less server for me to worry about when I would rather be riding.
We are not changing the show. Sven, JK, and Tony are still in the PodcastMKE studio. We are still taking call- ins from whomever we can dig up for a guest state. Plus, in studio guests. We still talk about fat-bikes, road bikes, cargo bikes, beer, Milwaukee, music, and whatever else crosses our minds. The only difference is the plumbing.
Why we moved. Frankly, WordPress was a lot of overhead for a site that is mostly a podcast feed. Beehiiv lets us do the thing we actually want to do: publish the show, maybe write a newsletter between episodes, and not think about PHP updates at 11 p.m. on a Tuesday.
If you subscribed via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, or any other app, you should not need to do anything. The RSS feed redirect is live and your app should follow it automatically. If something looks weird, drop us a line.
Thanks for sticking with us through this. Now let us get back to talking about bikes.
