It's been almost two months since we've done one, and probably longer than that since you've been on. Yep. Um, it's just Brad and I tonight in the, in the shop, in the studio. Uh, Brad is in the chair.

Um, uh, first thing I'm gonna throw out there is that last night, [laughs] on, when I was talking to the boys from Milwaukee, we have set a date. Uh, Rochester is gonna do a Santa Rampage December 3rd.

Uh, it's the same weekend as Milwaukee. Uh, I wasn't gonna do one. I was actually gonna go to Milwaukee this year, but we do it for Toys for Tots.

Rochester and Milwaukee and some of the other bigger ones are December 3rd. December 10th is Madison, Wisconsin. And I think we're gonna do one in Decorah, although I won't be able to. I'll have a game. Yep.

So, um, that kinda screws that. We're- That one's right in the middle of hockey season. It is. And, and, and it's always worked out that that first weekend in December, I'd, I've never had a game.

Um, Schmoot's really good about getting us a table and places to sit, and then we'll, you know, and LTS opens early for us, so we can, we can kinda keep on the regular schedule.

They run the one in Milwaukee and the one in Madison. Okay. Um, Wisconsin's like, when it comes to that kinda stuff, Wisconsin's way more organized than Minnesota is. Hmm.

As far as, like, their bike federation does a ton of shit. How come our bike community doesn't come out as big? I don't know. Well- Because it's not advertised as much? I, well, I don't know.

We advertise it pretty well, as far as I'm concerned. We know we're on... Toys for Tots puts it out there. We tell people. We post it, all the, all the bars. It's on Facebook. But I, I, I just, it's...

Here's the thing, Ro- it's Rochester, and there's a s- well, I shouldn't say there's a small group of us that drink and ride bicycles, but there is. Mm-hmm. Uh, as a social aspect, there is.

There's another group that, um, that says they do the We Bike Rochester people, who have a group that goes out and they ride the paved trails, and then they wind up at Th- Thistle or Thesis and they have a couple beers.

But it's not the stupid shit we do. Mm-hmm. You know, and then you've got t- g- then there's some road teams like Jackhammer and Rotor Group.

You know, those guys, um, they do some pretty hardcore rides and some pretty hardcore drinking, but they don't usually participate in this kind of stuff. This is, uh- That's weird. Yeah, I don't know.

I- 'Cause a lot of those guys ride year-round. Well- Most all of them do, don't they? Yeah, but I, I, I think it's more, um, those two groups, their group goes out and rides.

The Jackhammer guys, that group goes and does a ride together. Oh, okay. You know, and it's just, it's just them. So they're basically doing the same thing we're doing, but it's them, you know? Sure.

So next thing I know, there's a, an old fashion that the bartender slides in front of me, and I'm like, "What the hell is this?" She's like, "Well, it's an old fashion. Didn't you order one?"

I'm like, "No, I ordered a Busch Light." She's like, "Oh, I'm sorry." So she goes and gets me a Busch Light. Well, you know, kind of like the bartender restaurant thing, like, they're not gonna take it from you.

So she gave it to me, and I drank it, you know? But I, I had never had one prior to that. It was really good, and now I'm kind of a- That was your first old fashion? I w- I shouldn't say my first one.

The pink one. Yep. So that was that. That was back then. So lately, and we play hockey on Sunday nights and, and, um, we'll throw some pictures up there, but honest to God, we played hockey on Sunday night.

We come walking out, um, three of my buddies, I hate to say this, they ride electric bikes. Yep.

But they, but they haul their hockey stuff in a trailer behind their bikes, and they park them inside, and they lock them up to a pole inside the building. Can we address that first? What's that?

That now, like, they park in the rink where we can see them, and it looks like the fucking daycare is there- [laughs]... 'cause everybody's got their child trailer behind their bike.

[laughs] Well, and I had my big fat dummy there last week, so it looked really bad. We had Roller Dogs. Well, yeah, we had to do Roller Dogs. Yep. Um- So anyway, this guy comes in- So, so

th- the, how the story went, I mean, then w- bringing it all, um, I come walking out 'cause I'm always the last one being a goalie, the last one to change, the last one to shower. Come walking out and, and-

Our buddy Mike Alcott's going, "Ha ha, joke's funny. Where's my bike?" Yeah. I'm going, "What are you talking about?" He goes, "My bike's gone." I goes, "I, I didn't take it."

He goes, "Well, somebody must've come in and grabbed my keys, took the lock, and then took and hid my bike." So we're kinda looking around, and then pretty quickly it dawns on us that nobody took his bike.

Nobody took his key. Yeah, this guy was ballsy. Yeah, so [laughs] true to form, we all go up to the 63 Club and call the cops. [laughs] Let's go to the bar.

Well, Mike ac- Mike actually went home, but the rest of us went to the bar. Yeah. And then I called the rink manager and said, "Hey, there's cameras." I said, "Can you go look at the cameras?"

I didn't hear back from him right away. He was on the road. He says, "But as soon as I get home I'll, I'll do this." So you know, this is crap. This is 10:00, 11:00 at night- Yeah... at least.

Um- Well, 'cause I got the text like around midnight. No, it was that night. Yeah. Yeah. It was early... Yeah, so we, so we- Maybe it was early in the morning... So Mike filed a report.

The cops talked to him, and he goes, "As soon as you get the video can you send it to us?" Or the, the- Yeah... the film from the camera.

Sure as shit, Bob had him, our other rink manager, had video of him riding up to the building, and he eventually put it in sequence for the cops. He had him riding up to the building, kinda like checking the place out.

There's a five-minute gap where he rides away and then walks back in. And then it goes to the cameras inside, which are literally pointing at that spot. You see him. You can...

And I'll put the, I'll put that video out there. You can actually watch him, uh- Cut the lock... pull all those cables out of his backpack, cut the lock, throw it in the bike, in the bike thing, and then ride off.

And then, then we've got him riding away on the bike. Mm-hmm. So, and, uh, this is kinda secondhand so the sequence mightn't be exact, but

Mike immediately s- I send it to Mike, and Mike immediately sends it to the cop 'cause he's working the night shift, right? And I think they kinda knew who the guy was.

Yeah, it sounded like they'd, they'd been dealing with this guy. Well, it's not surprising. Or he had- Yeah. So-... previous cases... so he, um... The cop says yes. So the next day,

I think it was the next day, or next day or the next day after that, whichever it was, it was Sunday, Monday or Tuesday anyway, that was Sunday was hap- it was stolen.

Monday or Tuesday they arrest the guy stealing a bike from fucking Walmart. Yeah. So it was- Not inside the store, but outside, like an employee's bike... so it was, that was Tuesday. Like, 'cause Monday- Yeah...

We, there's, there's a couple different sites on Facebook we post stuff for about stolen bikes. Minneapolis has a really good one. Yep. You know, and that kinda stuff. And there's, the one in Rochester's okay.

We put it in a couple different spots in Rochester. And I put it out there, and I'm not kidding you, 20 minutes after I posted it a kid called me and says, "I know who it was. I know that guy." Yeah.

Well, it was a pretty good shot of his face. Yes. And he goes, "I know that guy," and he goes, "And this is his name." So we, so Mike called the cops, but again told them who it was.
