Yeah, every once in a while in the winter I like to ride a skinny bike for that reason. Yeah. Skinny tire. I mean, the fat bike gets ridden on the sidewalk and the yards and the alleys and the- Yeah...

Yes, so we've been kinda trying to get onto the beach, but it's been so full of snow, haven't been happening. Up in, uh, Port Washington? I heard that it was good, but I'm not willing to drive up there on hearsay.

They're both Trek EX, Fuel EXs, just different years, and this was, like, a '16 that was a 29er with Pinare tires on it, like 2.2s or threes or something.

And then the time before that was a 27 plus with, like, three-inch tires. World of difference, especially on those trails out there that are a little kinda sandy and washed out-y. Yeah...

and I went off the first drop, and right away I kinda landed a little nose heavy and hit a bush. [laughs] A bush. And then we were cruising along, and I wasn't, just wasn't really, it wasn't r- I wasn't grooving on it.

And- Wasn't instilling confidence... well, then I washed out on something where I normally would have plenty of traction on bikes I'm used to riding now, and ended up with my elbow and my chest and hurting my ribs, and-

That's 'cause the bigger tires, to me, just are so much more confidence inspiring, and the traction and the things and the deals, and they go over stuff, and I don't fall down.
